Training
AECM provides thorough training for all crewmembers and requires that they possess relevant and current qualifications and experience appropriate for each position. We ensure officers have what it takes to lead and that crewmembers are capable of interpreting and understanding key instructions. The result is a shipboard team that’s properly trained and qualified to operate with peak efficiency, safety, flexibility and attention to detail.
In fact, AECM makes sure that all crewmembers onboard our vessels receive familiarization training prior to being assigned duties onboard the vessels. This training program is called Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities and covers aspects of Basic Training as required by STCW. This exclusive AECM tool has been created in partnership with a STCW-certified outside source that also provides the hands-on training onboard.
